Football, hockey, rugby, American football: play shifts constantly across the full width of the pitch. Merten can cover every home fixture automatically in broadcast quality — including the ones no OB van would ever turn out for.
The situation
The big match gets covered. The rest does not.
An OB van with a crew pays off for a handful of matches a year. Youth teams, the second side, the women’s league and the back pitch go unseen — even though that is exactly where families would watch who cannot travel. Those who try anyway put a fixed camera in the stand and get a picture in which the ball is a dot.

Rigged permanently, it happens a single time and nothing about how your venue operates changes. Rigged mobile, the same kit covers several grounds.
